According to Steve Uncles's blog, the English Democrat candidate in Malling Central is not real and he is claiming that UKIP have fooled him into standing someone called Anna Cleves as a joke.
Assuming this is true, and clearly the police are investigating, then the pathetic childishness of this and the waste of money and time that the English Democrats have caused beggars belief.
It shows what an unprofessional and desperate bunch they are. The ED's nominating officer should not only make sure that the candidate has been through a process to assess suitability to be their candidate, they should also check whether they exist.
Their actions in electoral politics are despicable and I hope the police take real action against them this time.
